Harbor Lights Winter Festival under construction at Jones Park

Christmas is coming to Gulfport.

Crews are preparing for the Harbor Lights Winter Festival at Jones Park where Santa’s Village is under construction.

The day after Thanksgiving, Santa lands in Gulfport through New Years Eve.

The annual winter festival adds more lights each year and is bringing back the talking reindeer that stole the show last year.

The price for tickets remains the same as previous years. General admission is $15, for children ages five to 12 entry is $5, and children four and under get in free. City of Gulfport Communications Manager Jase Payne said, “The city crews as well as our contractors are out here putting together Santa’s Village, starting to lay out ticket booths out, putting lights out, our dancing trees are almost complete, if not already complete. So, we’re looking forward to continue to add on, it’s a process that will go until we open the gates on November 25th. But we’re excited to see people back in Jones Park this year for Harbor Lights.”

There’s expected to be over two million lights. More than 110,000 people attended the winter festival last year and the city is expecting just as many or more this year.
