Happy Birthday U.S. Navy!

The United States Navy turned 241 years old today. Naturally, the Seabee Base in Gulfport celebrated the big day.
One of the bakers on the base made a beautiful cake for all sailors to enjoy earlier today.
The United States Navy prides itself on the tough, bold and ready men and women who serve our country.
Commanding Officer Captain Cheryl Hansen spoke to the crowd inside the dining hall, highlighting the hard work and innovation the U.S. Navy has provided for this country and on the Gulf Coast. “What I’m very proud of the fact is that our sailors can meet that challenge again because they’re ready. They’re well trained. They’re adaptable. They’re flexible. They are fast learners and that is what we need in order to succeed in the future.”
The baker who made the cake tells News 25 it took him ten hours to create the masterpiece for all to enjoy.
