Hands across the Sand tomorrow at Ken Combs Pier

People across the nation will stand hand in hand Saturday for a restoration cause and you can be a part of it.
Tomorrow morning at 11:30 a.m. at the Ken Combs Pier, located at the intersection of Highway 90 and Courthouse Road, many will gather on the sand and hold hands.
According to Steps Coalition Community Organizer Howard Page, supporters want the Mississippi state leadership to be reminded that coastal communities still don’t want new drilling off the Coast.
Page tells News 25 this is a peaceful demand for leaders to protect our Coast and communities from new oil and gas leasing. “It’s a chance to come out and meet like-minded people and to also show your support and solidarity for cleaner beaches and for safer offshore oil practices and hopefully for a better future and to have as many alternatives to offshore drilling as we can have so that we never again have to look at oil coming up on our beaches.”
Page tells News 25 this is his fourth year participating in Stand on the Sand and his favorite part is getting to meet new like-minded people all fighting for the same cause.
