Hancock Resource Center receives funds from Department of Veterans Affairs
More than $4 million in federal funding is headed to Mississippi to help veterans.
The Department of Veterans Affairs is awarding the money through programs designed to prevent homelessness and help veterans and their families find permanent housing.
Hancock Resource Center is among the organization’s selected for funding through the VA’s Supportive Services for Veteran Families program.
The money can be used to help prevent veterans from losing their homes or to quickly re-house veterans who are already homeless.
