Hancock Middle School Opens Wednesday

Hancock County Middle School will return to class tomorrow.
School was canceled for two days after a small fire turned the sprinkler system on. The sprinkler then stayed on for hours until the faculty arrived for school Monday morning.
Hancock County Assistant Superintendent Donnie Gholston confirmed with News 25 the school is ready for classes tomorrow and no infrastructure damage was found.
The flood affected more than 60 classrooms. One classroom suffered burn damage and it will likely not be used for the rest of the week.
