Hancock man charged with embezzlement

A Hancock County man was arrested this morning and charged with embezzlement.

Bay St. Louis police say 30-year-old Andre Barbazon is charged with embezzlement-money received on contract.

He was taken to Hancock County jail and bond was set at $10,000.

Bay St. Louis Police Chief Toby Schwarz said officers stopped Barbazon early Wednesday morning for a traffic violation and realized he had an outstanding warrant. He had rented a trailer from Tractor Supply Company on behalf of his employer, but never returned it.

He was later terminated and kept the trailer, Schwartz said.

While interviewing Barbazon, investigators determined that he knowingly took the trailer.
