Hancock kicks off homecoming week with first-ever community-wide parade
KILN, Miss. (WXXV) — Parade season truly never comes to an end in South Mississippi.
On Monday, Hancock High School kicked off its homecoming week with its first-ever community-wide homecoming parade, put on by the Hancock Education Foundation. It featured this year’s homecoming court, middle and elementary school participants, cheerleaders, dancers, band members and community organizations.
The celebration didn’t end when the floats and cars rolled to the finish line! Attendees enjoyed a festival with plenty of games, music, food, drinks and a dunking booth.
WXXV News 25’s Elizabeth Keen caught all the sights and sounds from the inaugural event.
