Hancock Hawks look to claim first Volleyball State Championship since 2016!

The Hancock Lady Hawks are looking to finish the 2026 volleyball season on top as they prepare to compete for a Class 6A state championship.

Hancock is coming off a dominant South State performance, sweeping the George County Lady Rebels to punch its ticket to the state championship. The win was especially meaningful for the Lady Hawks, as George County ended Hancock’s season a year ago.

The Lady Hawks have become familiar faces on the state championship stage, playing for the gold ball three times in the last four years. However, Hancock has not won a state title since 2016.

Now, the Hawks have their sights set on bringing home another championship and ending that drought.

With four seniors leading the way, Hancock hopes to cap off its 2026 campaign with a state title and give its senior class a championship send-off to remember.

The Hawks will play for the Class 6A State Championship on Thursday, October 15th against Center Hill at 2pm. Best of luck to the Lady Hawks!
