Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam announces retirement

HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Hancock County Sheriff Ricky Adam has announced his retirement.

In a letter to citizens, Sheriff Adam says he is retiring due to current health issues.

Sheriff Adam goes on to say that serving the county has never been just a job to him. He says from the first day he took office, his commitment was to protect the community, uphold the law with integrity, and serve every citizen with fairness and respect.

Sheriff Adam was elected to the Hancock County Sheriff’s position in November 2011.
