Hancock County Republican Crawfish Boil
Tonight Republicans were given the chance to mingle with some of the candidates whose names will be on the primary election ballot next Tuesday.
Hancock County Republicans held a meet and greet crawfish boil at the Harbor Steamer in Diamondhead. Candidates got the chance to address the audience and share why they’re running and how they intend to represent the community.
Senator Roger Wicker and Richard Boyanton, who will be facing off on Tuesday’s ballot, were both present at tonight’s event as well as Congressman Steven Palazzo and Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith and E. Brian Rose. Hancock County Republican Party Co-Chairman George Williams said, “It’s always important to get the candidates out to meet with the people and allow the people to ask them questions one on one with close conversation.”
Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith said, “I just want to get out and meet people who may not know me now and just talk about the conservative issues and the values of Mississippians that most share. So, we have an opportunity to stay on the campaign trail when I’m not in Washington, D.C. because you know we are working and campaigning too so we are doing a lot of time management.”
Tuesday’s Primary Election will determine the final candidates whose names will be on the November special election.
