Hancock County Library holding book sale

If you’re looking for some last-minute summer reading, you may want to stop by the Bay St. Louis Library this weekend.

The Library Foundation of Hancock County is holding a three-day book sale. Thousands of ‘like new’ and gently used fiction and non-fiction books will be for sale at discounted prices.

Funds raised at the event will be used by the library foundation to support the educational and family programs the library offers.

The book sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Hancock County Library Director John Brdecka said, “We had a generous large donation and a collection of books that we’ve been housing for the last six months or so. So, we’re bringing back something that people have been asking for.”

Hancock County Library Foundation Sherry Ponder said, “We fund whatever our directors and executive directors say, this is what the community is asking for.”

Volunteers are still needed for the event. Anyone interested in helping can contact the Bay St. Louis Library at 228-467-5282 for more details.
