Hancock County Fair opens

It is fair season in the Kiln as the sixth annual Hancock County Fair hits the Gulf Coast.

The rides are endless, the food is delicious, and there’s plenty of fun for the entire family to enjoy. There’s livestock, craft competitions, mechanical bulls, and live musical performances taking place throughout the weekend.

There’s free admission on Thursday night, $5 on Friday, and $10 on Saturday. There’s a $20 carnival ride armband that allows you to ride all rides for a specific time slot.

Bringing the fair back for the sixth year after a 12 year layoff creates memories for everyone in Hancock County. Hancock County Fair President Paul Harris said, “You know, memories as a kid are memories that stay with you all your life. If you bring people to the fair they will remember and bring their kids back when they are that age.”

The fair will go on until Saturday, September 22nd, ending at noon.
