Hancock County deputy airlifted to Mobile hospital

A Hancock County deputy is recovering after an accident during a car chase earlier today.
In viewer video of the chase on Lake Shore Road you can see a deputy pull out his gun and aim. Moments later, the white car speeds by nearly spinning off the road.
Hancock County Deputy Chief Don Bass tells News 25 Louisiana police followed a pursuit across Mississippi state lines, but then lost the suspects.
Hancock County deputies were then able to pick up the pursuit in Bay St. Louis. Shortly after, Bass says a deputy crashed on Highway 607 near the Stennis Gate. The deputy was airlifted to USA Hospital in Mobile with head injuries that did not appear life threatening.
The suspects were then fled back into Louisiana where they were apprehended.
