Hancock Chamber honors teachers at 2023 appreciation event

The Hancock Chamber hosted a teacher appreciation dinner last night.

The Bay St. Louis Community Hall hosted the event. Guests were greeted with exhibits and a social hour.

After dinner, more than $2,000 in prizes from local businesses and organizations were given out.

The Make-A-Wish classroom grants were also announced. Those winners were Kelly Chang from Holy Trinity Elementary School and Kirsten Mitchell from Hancock North Central Elementary. Raymunda Barnes with the Hancock County Education Committee said, “In addition to classroom grants, we also gave over $2,000 worth of cash and prizes to our teachers, just to let them know how much we appreciate what they do in the classrooms of Hancock County.”
