Hancock boys golf wins 6A State Championship, other Coast teams place in top three

Boys Golf State Championships took place all across the Magnolia State on Monday and Tuesday, and several Coast teams represented their schools with pride.

Hancock High School won the State Championship for the 6A Class, and freshman Rowdy Foster won individual medalist honors. George County finished in 2nd place as a team, with sophomore Will Cooley taking third place medalist honors. Pearl River Central finished in third as a team.

In 4A, the Poplarville Hornets notched a third-place finish.

In 3A, St. Patrick finished as the state runner-up, and St. Stanislaus was not far behind, finishing in third place.
