‘Halfway to Geaux Party’ looks ahead to Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon

BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- We’re now just five months away from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon, but it is never too early to start getting into race shape and that was the case Thursday in Biloxi.

At Fly Llama Brewing, Coast runners gathered for the Halfway to Geaux Party, clocking in some miles together as they looked ahead to the Gulf Coast Marathon.

Race organizers were on hand to greet runners as they made their returns, rewarding them with prizes, merch, and free drinks from Fly Llama.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the marathon and already runners from 43 states have registered for race day.

According to Marketing Director Mike Wattigny, there is still plenty of time to get ready if you’re looking to get a medal in December.

WXXV is a proud sponsor of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon. For more information, click here.
