Halfway Party at the Lyman Senior Center
Senior citizens from all over the Coast celebrated a special milestone with some fancy footwork.
Students enrolled in square dancing lessons at the Lyman Senior Center are now halfway through the eight month long class. Tonight, the students celebrated the completion of classes at what the center calls the “basic” and “mainstream” level. Square dancers traveled from as far as Slidell and Mobile to cut a rug at the center’s party.
Students enrolled in the class will graduate from the program in April. Anyone interested in being a part of next year’s square dancing class is encouraged to sign up when registration opens in August.
