Gulfport’s Tyse Love named to Team USA Gymnastic Junior Olympic Team

A Gulfport native with the Elmwood Gymnastics Academy is now a Junior Olympian!

Tyse Love was in “gymnastics city” last week for all things Olympic gymnastics for Team USA. 

Although Love has been battling an injury which kept him from competing, all he had to do in Minneapolis was salute and he would be a top eight qualifier due to his numbers and hard work prior to the injury.

That powerful salute and top eight spot landed Love a selection on the USA Junior National Team for trampoline and tumbling, also known as TNT.

You may remember tyse as he was a feature on WXXV back when he represented Team USA in the world age group championship last summer in England., but this is his first official selection to Team USA, as he will be an official selection for the entire year.
