Gulfport’s Brooklynn Montana wins NIAAA scholarship

Former News 25 Student Athlete of the Week Brooklyn Montana has some extra money for college as the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators’ Section 3 female scholarship winner, awarding her $1,500.

After claiming the honors for Mississippi, the Gulfport softball and volleyball star competed against other winners from Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina and now advances to the national competition.

Montana signed a national letter of intent to continue her career on the diamond with Jones College in November.
