Gulfport vs. Pass Christian: First responders flag football game

Tonight, the Gulfport police and fire department faced-off against the Pass Christian police and fire department at Gulfport High School.
The free event kicked off at 7 p.m. and welcomed anyone in the community ready to experience some friendly competition.
News 25 spoke to Sgt. Damon McDaniel who tells us games like these provide the community an opportunity to intermingle as a Coast. “With everything that was going on nationwide a while back with you know, the negativity between the law enforcement and community. This is the perfect opportunity to bridge the gap between the two groups and actually show that yes, we are people too and we are able to have a good time.”
The game was definitely a good time, but there had to a winner. Pass Christian first responders ended up taking the win with a 28-24 score.
