Gulfport trio charged with home invasion, aggravated assault

Two  Gulfport women and a man are behind bars, charged with breaking into a home and assaulting the victim.

Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said 21-year-old Larecus Coleman, 19-year-old Laquerria Williams and 34-year-old Tampila Coleman were arrested and each charged with home invasion and aggravated assault. In addition, Tampila Coleman is charged with directing or causing a juvenile to commit a felony.

Bonds are $75,000 for Tampila Coleman and $40,000 each for Larecus Coleman and Laquerria Williams.

Peterson said deputies were called to a residence on 28th Street on March 28 regarding a home invasion. They found the victim suffering severe injuries as a result of the invasion. The victim was taken to University Medical Center in New Orleans. The victim identified the suspects from a photo lineup.

U.S. Marshals and Harrison County deputies located the Colemans at their residence and took them into custody without incident. Williams was found in the area near Memorial Hospital and arrested her.
