Gulfport schools gear up for 2018

The holidays are almost over and many schools are back in session starting tomorrow.
Students and teachers from the Gulfport School District are gearing up for another semester. After the holiday break teachers are ready to get back into the classroom and get their students back to hitting the books.
Teachers and faculty came back to the schools on January 2nd in order to make sure that everything is in place for when students come to classes on January 4th. MC Price with Gulfport School District Public Relations said, “We have been doing professional development and teachers empowering teachers just getting geared and ready for 2018 and the spring semester. Fall semester flew by so fast so I know we have some seniors here at Gulfport High School that are super excited about graduation. We are trying to focus on our average daily attendance that is up to par and at 95 percent.”
All Gulfport schools will be back to school and the normal schedule starting tomorrow.
