GULFPORT SCHOOL DISTRICT UPDATE

Last year was a big year for the Gulfport school district.
They officially opened the renovated high school which allowed them to add dozens of new courses for students.

This year is no different… Gulfport High School will get underway with the first day of classes Thursday and the school district is excited to add a few new things to their curriculum.
Gulfport school district Superintendent Glen East tells News 25 more about the new courses they will offer.
“We are adding mandarin Chinese this year as a class starting in kindergarten so K through 8th will have some mandarin Chinese studies going on. Of course we have got our career pathways, we are still trying to refine those and make those perfect at the high school and the main thing is to just keep approving student achievement.”
