Gulfport School District hosting art show for all students

Gulfport, Miss. (WXXV)- Students of all ages will have the opportunity to see their art work displayed at an official gallery in Gulfport.

The Gulfport School District Art Show located at the Gulfport Art Center will be displaying selected works of art from students ranging all the way from kindergarten to high school.

The gallery is open from May 1st to May 8th.

For the past seven years, this event was held at Lynn Meadows Discovery. Board of Directors member Jeri Pilgrim felt like bringing the exhibit to the Gulfport Art Center would be valuable to students.

A reception was held to kick off opening night with all the trapping of an art show.

If you would like to see the artist talents of our Gulfport students you can visit the gallery from now until May 8th at the Gulfport Art Center.
