Gulfport punches their ticket to South State Championship with huge 45-10 win over Petal!
Our WXXV Game of the Week is a rematch of last year’s post season’s match as the Gulfport Admirals host the Petal Panthers for round two of the playoffs. The Admirals haven’t lost since they saw the Panthers back in week three, and what better way to get that one point back than ending it all for them tonight.
The Gulfport offense came out the gates dominate scoring two touchdowns in less than five minutes. Quarterback Parker Nettles threw both of those touchdowns, one to Camden Morgan and the other to Javious Hales. Petal would fight back with a field goal and pick six, but Cooper Crosby would bring it all the way down field himself with the help of his offensive line. He’d eventually punch it in with a rushing touchdown, the Admirals third of the night.
Gulfport was up big at half with a 31-10 lead and they’d add two more touchdowns in the second half, defeating Petal with a final score of 45-10. The Admiral’s will play the final game at Milner Stadium in style, hosting Brandon for the South State Championship next Friday.
