Gulfport Police seeking information on early Monday shooting

Gulfport Police are asking the public’s help for information about a shooting that injured a minor early Monday morning.

Officers responded to a possible shooting about 12:04 a.m. Monday near Indiana Avenue and Jackson Street.

When they arrived, officers found a minor in a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound. The minor was taken to a local hospital and later air lifted to an out-of-state hospital for further treatement.
