Gulfport Police searching for man suspected of stealing from widow

Gulfport Police are looking for a man suspected of stealing money from a recently widowed woman.

Police are actively searching for 36-year-old James Terry Mitchell III. A warrant has been issued charging him with uttering forgery.

Investigators said Mitchell stole $20,000 from a 95-year-old woman whose husband had recently died.  He also is suspected of stealing other items from the home.

Mitchell is described as a 36-year-old white male, approximately 6 feet tall, and weighing 135 pounds. He has brown hair, a brown beard, and brown eyes.
