Gulfport Police investigating Wednesday afternoon shooting

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The Gulfport Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers with the police department responded to Rippy Road in reference to a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a male in the front yard suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

This is an active investigation and no arrests have been made at this time.
