Gulfport Police arrest four in connection with Dedeaux Road drive-by shooting

Gulfport Police have arrested four minors in connection with the shooting that happened Monday evening on Dedeaux Road.

Bonds of more than $1 million have been set for three minors charged as a adults in connection with the drive-by shooting and have charged a fourth minor for his involvement in the crime. Police believe he was a driver.

Arrested in the incident and their bonds are:

  • Jeremy LaCarl D’Wayne Myles, 17, was charged with four counts of Drive-By Shooting and one count of Aggravated Assault. Bond is set at $1.25 million.
  • D’Andre Joshua Willis, 17, was charged with four counts of Drive-By Shooting.  Bond is set at $1 million
  • Jahygiem Prince Posey, 16, was charged with three counts of Drive-By Shooting and one count of Aggravated Assault. Bond is set at $1 million.
  • Jabaree Martel Winters, 17, was charged with three counts of Drive-By Shooting. Bond is set at $750,000.

Police were called to the 13000 block in response to a shooting. Detectives from the Anti-Crime Unit were in the area and saw part of the shooting.

The investigation showed that two of the minors exchanged gunfire in a parking lot, hitting multiple vehicles and a home. They initially stopped shooting at each other, but then began shooting again before leaving the scene. A detective’s unmarked car was one of the vehicles hit.

Detectives pursued one vehicle and identified the second vehicle. After a low-speed pursuit, detectives arrested Willis and Myles.

Winters and Posey, who were in the second vehicle, were arrested without incident at a nearby residence shortly afterward.
