Two arrested in Gulfport shooting on South Carolina Avenue

Two arrests have been made in a shooting that happened yesterday in Gulfport.

Police arrested 19-year-old Brandon Pittman on one count of aggravated assault and 20-year-old Unkeem Hollis on two counts of shooting into a vehicle and one count of aggravated assault.

The incident happened on Monday, shortly after 4 p.m. when officers received a 911 call reporting a shooting on South Carolina Avenue.

Police say officers responded to the scene and it was later discovered the suspects, later identified as Pittman and Hollis, fired multiple rounds from a gun and struck several vehicles and a residence.

Pittman is charged with one count of aggravated assault and his bond has been set at $100,000. Hollis is charged with two counts of shooting into a vehicle and one count of aggravated assault. His bond has been set at $150,000.
