Gulfport PD searching for man wanted for manslaughter
Gulfport Police are searching for a man wanted for manslaughter in a case dating back to this past November.
Gulfport Police say Ellis Townsend assaulted a 75-year-old just before 11:30 the morning of November 18th, 2024.
Townsend was on duty as a security guard at the time of the incident and punched the victim with a closed fist multiple times until bystanders pulled him off the victim.
That victim has now died from his injuries, leading to the manslaughter charge.
Townsend is considered to be armed and dangerous.
