Gulfport PD investigating shooting near South Carolina Avenue

Around 5 p.m. this evening, the Gulfport Police Department responded to a call about a shooting on South Carolina Avenue.

About a two-block crime scene was marked off on South Carolina Avenue, north of Polk Street.

Gulfport’s crime scene investigation unit was on scene. It also attracted a group of onlookers.

Police tell News 25 that due to the large size of the crime scene and interviews still being conducted, details will not be released until tomorrow.
