UPDATE: Arrest made in shooting at RaceWay gas station

The Gulfport Police Department has made an arrest in a shooting at a gas station.

Police have charged 28-year-old Khalil Vickers with aggravated assault. He was taken to Harrison County jail  Bond is set at $250,000.

Officers located a victim the RaceWay gas station on Highway 49 suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and learned that the victim and Vickers got into a verbal altercation that turned physical. Vickers produced a firearm and shot the victim multiple times.

As the victim attempted to get away, Vickers continued to shoot at him and then fled the scene. The victim was taken to a local area hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
