Gulfport PD investigating pedestrian involved hit and run at Hwy 49 and 29th Street
On January 31, 2022, at approximately 3:11 a.m., the Gulfport Police Department responded to the area of Highway 49 and 29th Street, in reference to a hit and run involving a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, officers located a female victim in the middle of the southbound lane of Highway 49. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on January 31, 2022.
The victim has been identified but her name is being withheld pending proper family notification by the Harrison County Coroner’s Office.
The Gulfport Police Department is attempting to locate a Ford F250 that is missing the front air dam.
