Gulfport PD to host ‘Choppin’ with Twelve’ special event

You’ve probably heard of ‘Coffee with a Cop,’ but have you ever heard of ‘Choppin’ with Twelve?’

Tomorrow, the Gulfport Police Department is hosting ‘Choppin’ with 12’ at Cut Doctor Barber Shop. This is a chance for the community to come out and meet some police officers and have honest and candid conversations with them. What better place to let loose than a barber shop?

There will also be food available so even if you don’t plan on getting a haircut, police still encourage anyone in the community to attend. Gulfport Police Detective Jason Ducré said, “We have a great relationship with our community. We want to just strengthen it and like I said, it’s going to be a lot of fun. Where else do you go to have a brutally honest conversation, the barber shop. So, that’s why we decided to go with the barber shop, just for the honesty alone.”

‘Choppin’ with 12’ will take place at the Cut Doctor Barber at 1304 28th Street in Gulfport from 12 to 2 p.m.

If you have a barber shop and you would like to host this event you can contact the Gulfport Police Department.
