Gulfport Murder Suspect Arrested

Gulfport Police have arrested 34 year old Stephen Redmond in connection to a murder at a house on Skye Court Tuesday afternoon.

Police took him into custody around 11 Tuesday night in the area of the investigation.

Redmond is accused of shooting a man around 5 p.m. Tuesday. The man was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died of his injuries. The victim has not yet been identified.

Redmond is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a 1 million dollar bond.
