Saucier man nabs record gator on Pascagoula River

A Saucier man went almost down to the wire before hauling in a record catch during the state’s alligator season.
The season closes today in public waters and September 23 on private land.
Jason Ullendorf was hunting on the Pascagoula River on Sunday when he hauled in a female gator registering 11 and 3/4 feet long and weighing 324 pounds. Her belly girth was 37 inches and tail girth was 32 inches. The length eclipsed the old record by almost a foot.
The record was certified by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries & Parks.
Congratulations to Jason!
