Gulfport man jailed on child porn charges

A Gulfport man was jailed Friday charged with possession of child pornography.

Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said 33-year-old Charles Edward Riley Jr.,  was arrested after investigation began with Pass Christian and then adopted by the sheriff’s office.

A juvenile revealed he had been solicited by Riley to send nude images online. Sheriff’s investigators obtained search warrants for Riley’s electronic devices and found child pornography. More charges are expected upon completion of the the forensic work on the devices.

Riley was booked into Harrison County jail. His bond was set at $200,000. He bonded out the same day.
