Gulfport man guilty of child exploitation
According to Harrison County District Attorney Joel Smith, a Gulfport man pled guilty to two counts of exploitation of a child for making sexual videos of two young girls.
Thirty-four year-old James Allen Stevens was arrested in September 2017. The investigation into Stevens started when his then-girlfriend found several pictures and videos on his flash drive and immediately contacted the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators analyzed the media and found images of Stevens engaged in sexual activity with young girls. The two victims were eight and four-years-old.
Stevens was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
