Gulfport Man Found Guilty of Murder

One Gulfport man will spend the rest of his life in prison for murdering his own uncle. 29 year old Dante Taylor was found guilty of first degree murder. As a habitual offender, he was given the mandatory sentence of life in prison. According to testimony the murder stemmed from an argument the victim, 40 year old Willie Tayor, had with his niece who is Dante’s sister. Afterward, Dante Taylor threatened his uncle, went to a family members house and as Willie and Dante were about to fight, Dante shot his uncle. Prosecutors say it was an emotional trial week for all involved, even more so because the murder involved two members of a family.
