Gulfport man charged with multiple sex crimes

A Gulfport man faces six sex-crime related charges as a result of an investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.

Gulfport Police on Wednesday morning arrested 39-year-old Otis Penn at a Gulfport residence on outstanding warrants from MBI.

The charges, which each carried a bond of $500,000 are:

  • Enticement of a child to meet for sexual purpose
  • Promoting prostitution
  • Enticement of a child to produce visual depiction of sexual conduct
  • Procuring prostitution
  • Molesting
  • Sexual battery

Details are limited as the investigation is open and ongoing, according to MBI. Penn has been arrested five other times in Harrison County, dating back to 2013. The previous arrests were on drug-related charges.

He was taken to the Harrison County jail. The total amount of the bonds is $3 million.
