Gulfport man arrested in enticement child case

On January 12, 2022, the Gulfport Police Department arrested 33-year-old Justin Michael Cripps on one count of Enticement of a Child to Meet for Sexual Purposes, one count of Exploitation of Children, one count of Dissemination of Sexually Oriented Material to a Minor, and one count Resisting Arrest.

On January 4, 2022, at approximately 9:32 p.m., the Gulfport Police Department was made aware of a suspect, later identified as Cripps, attempting to meet an underage victim for sexual purposes.

Through the course of the investigation, Detectives discovered Cripps had been utilizing social media to engage in sexual conversations and to send explicit photographs to a 9-year-old victim. Cripps is charged with one count of Enticement of a Child to Meet for Sexual Purposes, one count of Exploitation of Children, one count of Dissemination of Sexually Oriented Material to a Minor, and one count Resisting Arrest. Cripps’ bond has been set at $750,000.
