Gulfport man accused of sexually assaulting 17-year-old girl arrested

A Gulfport man is behind bars tonight after being accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl.

According to Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson, 35-year-old Nickolas Shultz was taken into custody after a family friend alleged that Shultz had assaulted her.

Investigators determined Shultz was responsible for the assault and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

He was booked and transported to the Harrison County Jail.
