Gulfport Kiwanis Club adds new learning stations at Pass Road Elementary walking trail

Pass Road Elementary’s walking trail has some new hands-on education learning stations thanks to the Gulfport Kiwanis Club.

The Kiwanis Club wanted to add the learning stations to give the kids of Pass Road Elementary and the people of the community something fun to do.

The ten learning stations focuses on things such as storytelling, colors, and shapes. The station signs are offered in English and in Spanish.

Gulfport Kiwanis Club President Donny Fuller tells News 25 that the hands-on learning station will help with children’s attention spans. “Kids today, you know, they don’t like being in the classroom all the time. You got to have some fun activities for them to learn. So, this gives them some fun activities to learn and they can also do it with their families.”

Fuller says the Gulfport Kiwanis Club ordered the signs from United Way, a non-profit organization.
