Gulfport investigating shooting in Orange Grove

Gulfport Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 11000 block of Highway 49 on Monday evening.

Officers responded to the location about 5:51 p.m. in regard to a report of a shooting. They found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was airlifted to an out-of-state hospital, where he was listed as critical.

An investigation showed that the victim and the suspect were in an argument outside a business. During the confrontation, the suspect pulled a weapon and fired multiple times before fleeing.
