Gulfport High student arrested after sending threatening texts
A Gulfport High student was arrested after harassing and threatening text messages among students off-campus were brought to the attention of school officials.
Superintendent Glen East tells our media partner the Sun Herald that the threat was not made about any violence or plan directed at Gulfport High.
The administration received the report of the texts Wednesday.
School resource officers investigated the texts and turned the findings over to Gulfport Police. The arrest was made Thursday night.
