Gulfport High School unveils new emergency response system

Gulfport High School rolled out its new emergency response system with state and local leaders Monday.

Alpha Alert is a system designed to facilitate rapid coordination with first responders in the event of a critical incident on campus with the goal of reducing response times.

School district leaders say Gulfport High is the first high school in the state to have an advanced response system like Alpha Alert in place.
