Gulfport High School seniors graduate at the Coast Coliseum

Tonight, the latest class of seniors at Gulfport High School walked across the stage at graduation to receive their coveted diploma.

The 414 students gathered at the coliseum where they got together for the last time as a class.

All smiles for these 2022 graduates as peers, teachers, faculty, and family cheered them on.

News 25 spoke with both the valedictorian and salutatorian of the class about their future plans and how much being a part of the class of 22 means to them. Valedictorian Connor Norvell said, “We’ve all put in so much time and effort to get here and it’s not really easy to graduate high school, so the fact that we were all able to make it this far and get here is really special.”

Salutatorian Colton Bruni said, “I’ve spent a lot of work, and extracurriculars, and studying, sports, whatever I’m working on and I feel like it’s time to let that come to fruition in my future and really get out into the world.”

Norvell plans to study mechanical engineering at Mississippi State and Bruni will study chemical engineering at LSU.
