Gulfport head girls’ basketball coach steps down after eight seasons

For the last eight years, the head girls basketball coach at Gulfport High School has been Donny Fuller. As of today, the Admirals are now on the hunt for his replacement.
The Gulfport Athletic Department has officially announced Fuller’s resignation as head coach, although he’ll retain his role as assistant athletic director.
In a press release, Fuller attributes his decision to the recent passing of his mother and the illness of his father. Because of that, Fuller says he can no longer give the time and energy to the girls that they deserve.
Fuller won 54 percent of his games during his eight seasons at Gulfport and was instrumental in putting on this year’s MLK Hoops Classic.
