Gulfport Girls Basketball’s Madison and Micah O’Dell sign with Robert Morris
Two for the price of one Division I talent from Gulfport High School moving on to the next level as Madison and Micah O’Dell take a seat at the signing day table together.
Early this morning, twinning and winning, fraternal sisters putting pen to paper with Robert Morris University.
They say they fell in love with the idea of going to Pennsylvania on a visit back in December with their sights set on making an early impact on the Colonials.
The older twin, Micah, says the coaches like her versatility as a tall guard with a lengthy wingspan while the younger twin, Madison, says they like her playmaking ability and the step back ‘in your face’ three-pointers.
What the sisters like most is being able to take on the next four years of their basketball careers together. Micah said, “Playing with my sister. It’s just fun. It feels good being able to go and play with somebody that you’re comfortable playing with.”
Madison said, “We just play together. We just kind of click, and then that’s all we do really, just kind of hoop together. This represents like a new chapter for me honestly. It’s fun, exciting and I’m excited to go play.”
Micah said, “Just makes it official now. It feels like we’re really going somewhere. It took a lot of work to get there, and they just made us feel welcome and like that was our place to be.”
They get to campus in June with Madison set to major in psychology and possibly criminology for Micah.
